I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TransDigm (Cleveland, OH) in Oct 2023
Interview
There was a full-day interview. Half of the day was spent on site talking with the plant president and asking questions. The second half of the day consisted of 6, 30 minute interviews.
Technical Round 1 (Coding/Programming): In this round, you may be asked to solve coding problems on a whiteboard or using an online coding platform. Be prepared for questions related to data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving. The interviewer may also assess your coding style and logical thinking. Technical Round 2 (Data Structures and Algorithms): Expect questions related to data structures (e.g., arrays, linked lists, trees) and algorithms (e.g., sorting, searching). You may need to analyze and optimize code.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Data Structures and Algorithms: Implement specific data structures like linked lists, trees, or hash tables. Solve algorithmic problems involving sorting, searching, and dynamic programming. Analyze time and space complexity of code. Discuss the use cases and trade-offs of different data structures and algorithms. Coding Challenges: Solve coding challenges on platforms like HackerRank, LeetCode, or CodeSignal. These can range from easy to difficult and cover a wide array of topics. Questions often involve string manipulation, array operations, and mathematical algorithms.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TransDigm
Interview
Straight forward, experience based, tell me about your successes, failures, etc. Interviewed with HR, Operations, management. Easy conversation when able to speak to previous experience, interesting business opportunity given current market climate.
