I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2023
Interview
1st round- 30 min hiring manager screen
2nd round- 45 min panel interview
3rd round- 45 min whiteboarding challenge
4th round- 30 min XFN PM round
5th round- 30 min leadership
My story:
1. The interview process began with a recruiter contacting me through LinkedIn.
2. After the initial phone screening, the recruiter scheduled the next step, which involved a 30-minute screening call with a hiring manager based in China. During this call, there will be a 15-minute portfolio review and another 15 minutes allocated for Q&A. So, the interview structure they designed didn't leave ANY time for the candidate to ask questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. What I’m looking for?
2. HM wants to see my most recent project at Meta
The interview process was professional and well organized. The recruiter clearly explained the role, company background, and next steps, while also giving me the opportunity to share my experience and ask questions.
hr screen, 1st interview with coworker, design challenge with 7-day window, follow-up 2 rounds of interviews if pass the design challenge but i didn't pass the design challenge so don't know what's the next step specifically
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process consisted of four rounds. It started with a peer deck interview where I presented my portfolio and past work. This was followed by two rounds with hiring managers, which focused on design thinking, problem-solving, and role fit. The third round was with a director, covering higher-level questions around design strategy and impact. The final round was with an HRBP, focused on behavioral and culture fit questions.
