I recently interviewed with Tia and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The interview structure felt unorganized and lacked transparency from the start. Instead of a typical conversation to understand my background and fit, the first half of the interview consisted of three mock calls where I was given scenarios with little to no guidance. There was no explanation of their processes, expectations, or what success looked like, which made it feel more like a guessing game than a fair evaluation of my skills.
The second half transitioned into standard behavioral questions, which felt more appropriate, but by that point the experience had already set a negative tone. It’s difficult to perform well when you're not set up with the necessary context or tools, and I don’t believe this approach accurately reflects a candidate’s abilities.
Overall, the process felt unnecessarily stressful and not aligned with best interview practices. I would recommend that the company provide clearer expectations, better structure, and more support during mock scenarios to create a more fair and professional candidate experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Tia in Jan 2025
Interview
First interview was by phone with recruiter, then virtually with a hiring manager, after that I completed case studies / care plan examples. Communication with the recruiter was really poor, delayed and confusing and took a lot of follow up on my part. After a few weeks of waiting, was then asked to interview with a second hiring manager. After that, communication with my recruiter worsened, until finally was able to get in contact with the Lead Recruiter and my experience significantly improved with prompt and clear communication. Hiring managers were great and friendly, easy conversations and very transparent. Had one last "final steps" meeting with a verbal offer followed by the formal offer via email. Had a few back and forth for revisions and signed. Total process took 48 days from my first interview to a signed offer.
