I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at TGS Management Company (Irvine, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
Responded to a cold email from a 3rd party recruiter they hired to scout LinkedIn, quickly moved to phone screen with the company own recruiter. There was a lot of rounds with a lot of people, the whole process took almost 2 months. They were quite pleasant to talk to, smart, interesting problems, very positive towards the end, but a bit too relaxed and calm for my Bay Area taste. Cons: it seems they were open towards remote role, but later in the process I learned that I need to move to Irvine. I'd preferred to know that in advance. This 2 months long process ended up in ghosting. Extremely unprofessional. They are probably so old and small that they forgot how to hire in the 21st century.
This (I thought) is a top tier company and one of the last places I would think would ghost a candidate. I had a first round interview and never heard back even after following up several times over a two week span. Disappointing is the best word to describe my experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TGS Management Company
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by their internal recruiter. I went through two rounds of 1 hour Zoom screening. After a week, I got a rejection email. The interviewer were nice and very knowledgeable.
