I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Shenaniganz (Rockwall, TX) in Sept 2012
Interview
Interviewed for an outside sales position. Interviewers were almost 30 minutes late but I was optimistic about the job when the interview had gone well and taken over an hour. They then had an outside party-management company owner call me for another interview. The lady was very rude from the minute I answered the phone and I competed for her attention with her dog barking in the background. Our call took about an hour. I thought I made the best of ignoring her unprofessionalism but by the end of the call I decided the company might not be a good fit for me. I still needed a job so I put forth my best. About two days later, got an email that they'd decided to use someone else.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The second interviewer, introduced to me as a sales expert, managed to squeeze in tidbits here and there throughout the interview comments about her personal life. Her dog, her kids, etc. She didn't ask the typical questions of a sales-oriented interview. It seemed as if she wanted to scope me out based on my reaction to hypothetical questions about family issues and employers, not objections by potential customers to a sales call. It was all kinds of weird - but I will consider the experience a learning opportunity.
