I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ShelterPoint (New Hyde Park, NY) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was really brief. Didn't dig too deep into my background. Really what they wanted to know for the position was if I was a fast learner, able to commute, able to work under pressure, and if I had worked in a similar role. The whole interview took around 15 minutes. And I was pretty much hired right after the interview.

Interview
The interview process for the freelance graphics designer role was relatively straightforward. I was initially contacted by the hiring manager, who provided a clear overview of the company's needs and the specific requirements for the freelance position. The manager explained that the company was seeking a skilled designer to create a variety of insurance plan designs.
After our initial conversation, I was invited to an in-person interview at the company's office. During the interview, I had the opportunity to meet with the hiring manager, as well as the team lead for the design department. They asked me about my previous experience, portfolio, and approach to design projects. I was also given a brief design challenge to complete on the spot.
Overall, the interview process was positive and informative. The team members I met were friendly and professional, and they seemed genuinely interested in my skills and experience. I left the interview feeling confident that I had a good understanding of the role and the company's expectations.
