I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sainsbury’s (London, England)
Interview
Great experience! Initial online application, with multiple choice questions with what would be the best & worst things to do. The next day I was invited to do a video interview with questions about flexibility with hours & locations and 3 questions (I won't list them as other reviewers already have previously). Then within a couple of days I received an email inviting me to book in online for a face to face interview at my local store.
Interview lasted about 1.5 hours as there were quite a few questions to go through! Don't forget your right to work document or you will be turned away before the interview starts.
General questions about the hours & that sort of thing, then questions where they explain the qualities and skills needed for the job and then ask you to describe a situation where you used those skills or qualities. Qualities & questions were regarding decision making, motivation & resilience.
Last question was to describe your personality in 3 words.
The interviewing Manager was lovely, and it was a positive experience. A couple of hours later I received a call asking me to meet the Manager at the store where there was a CTM vacancy (they were lovely too) & so I went the same day & then I received a call at the end of the day offering me the position and I accepted. I start on Monday!
I am delighted to be joining such a professional, welcoming and accomodating company and if you have an interview too then good luck! (Dress smart, arrive early & take your passport too!).
One thing to keep in mind is that you might be offered a position that isn't in your local store. CTM's can be offered positions anywhere within a radius of 1 hour from home. You may be lucky and be offered a role at your local store or you might need to travel a little - ask at interview.
The interview was straightforward with a number of competency and technical based questions. Asked about specific experiences with managing teams and conflict resolution. Focus on performance management and how to communicate with teams to convey company goals.

Interview
Quick and a waste of time.
Called me to book an interview, I had to do the online compliance and they then emailed me a link where I can prep for the interview which I spent a couple of hours doing the night before. I then get in the car to leave and quickly check my emails to say that my interview has been cancelled with no explanation.
