Initial chat with the internal recruiter before a half hour chat with the hiring manager. Thought the conversation with the hiring manager went well, she spent more time asking me if I had any questions than digging into my background. When I did answer a question, she didn't ask any follow up questions or dig deeper. Was told she was looking forward to getting to know me better during the rest of the hiring process.
A week later I was called to say I wasn't moving forward as I didn't provide examples of working with sales executives leadership - something which wasn't even asked about during interview, only working with sales generally (which I answered with an example). Was also told I didn't provide an example of an ABM campaign I worked on - I did, going in depth into the ways of working I had in a prior role at a relevant sized company.
Makes me feel the feedback was rubbish and not truthful.
