I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at SBS (Sheffield, England) in Aug 2019
Interview
What a joke of a company.
Wasted 3 months engaging with them after they approached me via Linkedin. First interview was a group interview, second was a very detailed presentation of 3 different delivery scenarios, third interview which was supposed to just be a formality.
After all that, I was informed that the position wasn't actually available until a contract had been agreed with one of their clients, this was expected in a couple of months time.
On following this up with an update request 2 months later, I received an email to say that the position had now been filled. Strangely the same role was being re-advertised 3 days later. All-in-All a total of 5 months wasted for a non-existant position.
They do not have a clue what they really need to support their client. They are merely interviewing as many people as possible for free consultancy.
Although they were very impressed with my presentation on handling the 3 proposed scenarios, I am just very pleased that I did not leave them a copy of my presentation (which they did request). I told them they could have as many copies as they required once I had secured the appointment.
