I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Role Mapper (Exeter, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
A big shout-out to the recruiter who doesn’t ghost you when you aren’t progressed to the next stage. That’s rare these days.
The process was lengthy, with feedback never delivered within agreed timelines. The stages were: Initial Screening, Ops Manager, Finance Director.
The initial screening call was to ascertain whether I possessed the non-negotiable skills. However, two interviews later, you discover there is yet another non-negotiable skill—SaaS experience—which wasn’t mentioned in the job specification at all, not even as a nice-to-have.
My last interviewer hadn’t read my CV and openly admitted to not having prepared any questions. The step that was supposed to allow me to learn about the role resulted in rejection from someone who didn’t really make any effort to understand my experience and skills.
Not a single competency based question throughout the process.

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Role Mapper (London, England) in Sept 2024
Interview
Quite a few steps. But I could see the value of each. Conversation with the Recruiter, then the line manager, then the team. With every step I learned more about the organisation and their values. Was really disappointed not to progress
