I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rocket Partners in Jan 2024
Interview
Potential Concerns:
Compensation far above market rates, raising questions about feasibility.
Interview process feels more like a brainstorming session or free consultation rather than assessing candidates.
Unclear hiring intentions, making the opportunity seem less than genuine.

Interview
Talked to the company's recruiter and answered some basic questions. After the interview was asked more questions via email over several weeks. They decided to not proceed forward. Had no opportunity to ask any serious questions and so my opinion is slightly negative due to unequal exchange of information and because the whole first contact to final decision took too long. Overall would interview again.

Interview
I Interviewed for Senior Java Cloud Developer (essentially Sr Software Engineer) position and had multiple basic tech screenings. Bad process, poor communication. They moved my interviews several times so I had to accommodate my schedule last minute.
One "lead" interviewer was more worried about Java syntax and using semi-colons in rudimentary coding exercises than talking about design patterns or writing maintainable, scalable, cloud-native applications. Didn't reflect well that this person is also probably approving pull requests and making design decisions.
I quit the process after I was told that I was doing an in-depth panel interview for an extended period of time. They moved my time on the day of so I had to move meetings last minute. And then it turned out to be another basic tech screening that the one interviewer couldn't even stay for. No offer.
