I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Retain.ai
Interview
The interview process was going quite well. Then I had an interview with the CEO.
Usually CEO interviews are pretty easy and are not challenging. Unfortunately, this CEO was quite hostile. When I stated that I left a job of over 1 year because I wasn't being paid, he asked exact details about when my regular paychecks stopped, when I was paid after that, and how much I was paid when I actually did get some money from the company. Kind of like he was trying to trip me up in a lie (I wasn't lying)
He was definitely looking for reasons not to hire me. It was one of the most hostile interviews I've ever had.
They wanted to go ahead with the hiring process after the interview, but I said no.

Question 1
How much were you paid and when did they pay when you stopped getting regular paychecks at a previous job?
Fair process. I had a short phone interview with the relevant manager, and then a Zoom interview, where I was asked to talk about ML projects I worked on recently. I don't know what the next interviews are yet.

Question 1
Tell us about a ML project you worked on recently.
Very quick process since they are a small team. Overall it was a positive experience. My thoughts are that it was not a great fit for me either so it worked out.
