After applying for a job with Real Pittsburgh Marketing on a university job posting site, I was contacted almost immediately by them (fishy, I know). But I was a naive college graduate who desperately needed work and money in order to stay in the area. The woman on the phone told me nothing of the company and was very vague about the position (once again, fishy). I took the interview. It lasted five minutes and the manager just sped through a clearly rehearsed speech. He barely asked me any questions and scurried me out of the door in order to interview someone else out of the ten other people waiting to be interviewed (YES, FISHY). Against all odds (sarcasm), I was called an hour later for a second interview in which I would go with an account manager into the field (driving around for 8 hours) to see what the actual job entails. This is the only honest part of any interview here. Still, when not going door-to-door I am told how great the job is and promises of all this potential blah blah blah. Once the day was done I was immediately rushed into the manager's office for the third interview, which was him offering me a job. Bottom line: They will hire anyone, they are merely looking for bodies to throw into "the field" (so official, I know) to sell direct energy rates.
