CV, publication list and statement of research interests, with three letters of reference. My particular interview was in person, at Queen's, although I know that other interviews took place over Skype. The interview consisted of a 20-min presentation on my research interests, followed by further scientific questions for 10-15 minutes. There was a panel of three, with two members of the Physics department (one my future line manager) and one person from HR. Interviews took place in the Administration building, and there was no tour of the department, no introduction to other members of the department, no tour of the university, no lunch. Just the interview, which was quite unusual and quite inhospitable.
