I answered that, while I've had to write some bash scripts throughout my career, I've done it so infrequently that I always rely heavily on the Internet when I do. My interviewer seemed to ignore my answer and just proceeded to spend the next several minutes asking me variations of how I would write a bash script to do various things I've never had to do.
