I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Q Agency (Penrith) in Jun 2025
Interview
The interview process was well within industry standards, and I really appreciated both its quality and pace. Even if I hadn’t been successful, the company would have still left a very strong impression on me.
- I sent my résumé and cover letter and was contacted for a qualifying call within 24 hours. I had a great first impression of the founder I spoke with.
- This was followed by an in-person interview at the agency with the founding team the next day. They made a strong impression, asked insightful questions, and created a friendly yet professional atmosphere. I could genuinely picture myself working with them as I left the interview.
- That same day, I was put in touch with the agency’s business coach, who sent me three technical marketing questions and one related to marketing budgets I had managed, giving me the opportunity to fill some gaps I had left during the interview.
- The final step was a Zoom interview with the business coach. I appreciated this opportunity: it made perfect sense, as he was the one who had recommended hiring for the specific role I was applying for.
- I received a call then an offer later that same day from one of the founders after he had the opportunity to debrief with the business coach.
Overall, the process was intense, compressed into just three business days but extremely thorough. I move fast and I really loved the fact that our energy was matching. The job ad was already very clear, which was a strong indicator of the company’s professionalism.
There was full transparency throughout the entire process, and I gained a solid understanding of who I’d be working with. From the application to the interviews and negotiations, it was nothing but green flags. I felt valued.

Question 1
As I’ve worked client-side for the latter half of my career, they asked about my agency experience to ensure I had a solid understanding of the role, its pace, and the culture.
