I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at PlanHub (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2026
Interview
The whole process took about 5 weeks. HR approached me on Linkedin; first call with recruiter on the same day that lasted about 30 minutes; then a 30 min call with the hiring manager; then a 3 parts coding challenge that can took me about 2.5 hours; then 1 hour call with hiring manager and architect.
Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of time. They moved me through the process each step of the way, with no negative feedback, but only a generic rejection email at the end. Do not waste your time like I did.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 question about DFS, 1 sql query question, 1 question to aggregate API responses data
Process moved quickly, I spoke with the recrutier and a couple of days later I was setup to speak with a couple of the hiring team members. There was a sharp difference between the two experiences. The hiring members were dis-interested from the very start. I really do not know why they interviewed me.

Interview
Great HR Experience, Disappointing Manager Interviews.
Pros:
The initial screening with the HR representative was excellent. She was professional, engaging, and clearly explained the role and company culture. The process moved quickly, with the second round scheduled for the very next day.
Cons:
The interview with the hiring managers was a sharp contrast to the positive first impression. One interviewer appeared completely disinterested, maintaining a monotone voice throughout. The second interviewer was frequently distracted, looking at and smiling at another screen during my responses, which made it clear they were not actively listening.
Despite my detailed explanation of how my CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) and technical skills (SQL/Python automation) were transferable to their specific needs, I was later asked a basic question I had already thoroughly addressed ("Are you a coder?"). When I asked a strategic question about reporting gaps, the managers seemed unable or unwilling to provide a concrete answer. It felt like my preparation and experience weren't being given a fair shot by the leadership team.
