Interview
I had a phone interview which was about 30 minutes. Answered hypothetical, scenario questions. He explained the position, benefits, pay rate ($18/hr).
Afterwards, I received an email to complete an assessment which consisted of 6 scenario questions (how would you respond to this complaint or concern from a customer, how would you handle this situation, etc.). I completed the assessment successfully and was asked to come in for an interview.
I interviewed with the customer service department manager and a woman. The interview went great. They seemed pleased with my answers. It felt more like a conversation with friends than an interview, which is great.
After about 40 minutes, I thought the interview was finished but they said I'd be interviewing with two more people also. I was fine with that but I wish it was communicated with me prior to starting the interview. It was warm inside this small room. My interview was at 3. I showed up at about 2:45. After interviewing with 4 people, I didn't leave until 4:40.
I interviewed with a level 2 (phone support) and level 3 (business support) customer service rep. The level 2 csr had only been employed with the company less than a year! This part of the interview was awkward. The level 2 csr was unfriendly and uninterested. Whenever it was her turn to ask a question, she was in a daze! She literally said 'oh I forgot what was going on'. I knew I wasn't getting the job at that point. It was so rude and disappointing. Basically, the customer service reps were given the opportunity to interview me so they could determine whether they wanted me working on their team or not. Once I realized that, I gave up trying. Needless to say, I didn't get the job.
Because this is a start up company, the company culture is very young and more geared towards millennials. There's lots of room for growth.

Interview
Great experience interviewing with this company. CEO is young, energetic, and very bright. Seemed to be a very pleasant and fun atmosphere. Employees liked working here. This company should go far.
Logistically, the company is setup somewhat different from most typical office settings- this is neither a pro or con, depending on what your used to- or desire. Location is downtown Chicago, and I found getting to the office from the north-side was very easy.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Both standard and in-depth questions regarding my background. You need to be able to clearly articulate what you did in your last role(s), and explain how those skills can be applied to and/or benefit the company in the role your applying for.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Payline Data (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
Very casual. They want to know more about you than your experience in sales. Payline hires on character not on ability. The interview process was more of a personality screening than a job interview. The phone screen interview was different and was more of Payline going through a discovery process for themselves and introducing what the company product is.
