I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PIMCO (London, England) in Mar 2020
Interview
Combination of behavioral and technical questions mostly focused on fixed income (what’s duration, convexity, where would you invest, etc.). There are typically three rounds of interviews and the process was pretty quick if you get an offer.

Question 1
What is happening in the markets and where you you invest if you had 1 million usd?
Consulting type of interview. We went through many different questions all very hands-on practical questions that I only would've known if I had more experience, even though I was a new hire. I really was thrown off as I thought this was a asset management company.

Question 1
What would you do if there was an inquiry from an insurer general account?
It was a positive experience, the teams were friendly, asked interesting questions. About 4 rounds 8 people. Some market questions and the rest of the questions were resume and personality-based.

Question 1
Tell us something not on your resume that would be helpful for us to know about you.
HireVue first round, then superday with multiple senior leaders from across the firm. All very friendly and welcoming. Some mix of technical and behavioural questions. Good mix of probing questions and more open ended questions about background etc.
