The first stage of the PIMCO interview process is typically a short HireVue video interview lasting about 10 minutes. It includes three to five pre-recorded questions that assess your communication skills, professionalism, and cultural fit. The questions are usually behavioral and motivational—for example, “Why PIMCO?”, “Tell us about yourself,” or “Describe a time you worked in a team.” You’re given around 30 seconds to prepare and 2–3 minutes to respond to each question. There’s no live interviewer; your answers are recorded and reviewed later by recruiters or hiring managers. This stage helps PIMCO identify candidates who demonstrate strong communication, analytical thinking, and alignment with its core values of Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility, and Excellence before advancing them to the next round.
