I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Owl Practice in Nov 2025
Interview
The process looked like:
-Recruiter (G2 agency) intake call (then was handed over to the internal recruiter)
- Hiring manager interview
-Design interview
-PM interview
*ghosted
The whole process took about 3 weeks. Scheduling was initially quick and I notice the communication started to slow. I followed up with the recruiter of owl practice but was completely ghosted. I notice they had a lot of internal communication issues.
The interview itself was fairly standard. It would be helpful if the recruiter had informed me at which stage the interviewer would be wanting to see my portfolio because I was asked during one of my stages but thankfully had something prepared just in case.
I enjoyed the team that I talked to, but thought the recruiting process was handled so poorly. At least have the decency to give a follow up!

Question 1
Tell me about a time you received push back from an engineer and how did you handle it.

Interview
The interview process involved four stages, including screening, two technical rounds (Team Leads), and a final behavioral/executive round (C-suite). The technical discussions were engaging and felt productive, focusing heavily on architectural paradigms and strategic decision-making.
However, the process concluded with a significant lapse in communication and unprofessional ghosting.
Communication Breakdown: After completing the final technical interview, the tech lead confirmed that a decision would be reached by the end of the week.
Failed Follow-up: When I followed up the subsequent week (after the internal deadline passed) to express continued interest, I received no response from the recruiter.
Process Trend: This lack of closure, particularly after investing time through four interview stages, appears to be a recurring issue based on other public candidate reviews.
Recommendation to Candidates: Be prepared for a lengthy process with a strong likelihood of no communication regarding the final outcome, regardless of the quality of your interviews.

Interview
This isn’t really the company’s fault, but they outsource their recruiting to G2 Advisors, and I’ve had my interview canceled THREE times—each 10 to 30 minutes before the scheduled slot—because of “internal deliverables.” When I finally got another available time, it was canceled again 20 minutes before the interview because the position had already been filled. I understand that another company handles these initial interviews, but it still creates a pretty unprofessional impression overall.
