Interview
I had the opportunity to interview with a group of very nice interviewers, and overall, it was a positive experience. They asked a variety of structural questions that seemed to be pulled from established question banks. The questions were mostly in the easy to average range, allowing me to feel comfortable as I navigated through the interview process.
The interview consisted of two rounds. First round was with two managers from the group. They asked questions about my capital markets experience, why I wanted to join, etc. Then I met with two senior people in the group. More like a vibe check. Everyone was very friendly.

I applied online. I interviewed at Ontario Securities Commission (Toronto, ON)
Interview
The interview process was extensive, consisting of four separate rounds, a comprehensive case study, and a final meeting with senior leadership. I invested significant time and effort into this process and maintained high interest throughout. The Interest felt mutual and the rejection was a surprise but that's totally fine with me.
However, the worst past about this process was no feedback from the interviewers. The organization keeps candidates behind a 'wall' where you are only permitted to communicate through HR and interviewers' contact information is withheld. So even if you want to send a thank you note post your interview, you have to send it to the HR rep to pass on. Despite all this, I reached out to HR specifically requesting feedback to help with my professional development. I was met with total silence. To be ghosted after such a rigorous and multi-stage process is incredibly disrespectful of a candidate’s time and effort. I am glad to be employed somewhere else where senior leadership is respectful and approachable.
