I was interviewed initially by the hiring manager for around half an hour and after that with their manager for a further twenty minutes or so. Both interviews were casual conversations about the role, the company and my previous experience and both went very well. I was given a tour of the amazing office space and very briefly met the team I would be working with.
I heard back later that day that they would like to offer me the job. Unfortunately & surprisingly, after several weeks chasing up for the contract paperwork it transpired that senior management had decided the role was no longer required due to a "change in focus" and I was left with nothing having wasted a lot of my time and theirs.
Do not trust or take on faith what any recruiter tells you until you see something in writing.
