I applied online. I interviewed at OUTPLAYED.com (London, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
I got into 2nd stage interview. The first interview was ok. Quite a pleasant talk, the interviewer explained what the company does and what my role would be. He also asked me typical questions at this stage to learn about me and my experience. In general, it seemed like everything went well.
After a few days, I got an invitation to have an interview with another person. I have no idea who he exactly was, as he didn't bother to introduce himself, so I don't know his position in the company. We had a 10 minutes chat during which he seemed very annoyed. He asked me basically the same questions as the previous interviewer and then straight away said that I'm not suitable for the role as I don't have enough video editing experience and they look for someone to create and edit content for social media. Video editing was just one of many desired skills for the position, it wasn't specified in the job advert that it would be the main role.
At the end, he asked me one of the most bizarre questions I have ever encountered in my career: "You have experience in the industry we are very much against, how do you feel about that? Why did you apply for our company?" As if my skills and professionalism as a designer would be different based on the industry, I worked in. This made me very uncomfortable. I haven't gotten any follow-up email, and I noticed they put a new job advert for this role, so I guess I wasn't the right fit.

Question 1
You're currently working for an industry we disapprove of, why did you apply for our company?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at OUTPLAYED.com
Interview
A question and answer process with the owner and a second, based around competency and ability to market the business
I was promised a second interview with the company, but the owener then changed his mind, and decided not to offer me a second interview, depespite verbally agreeing to it, in the first stage interview. Which is quite frankly extremely poor etiquette.
