I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Cincinnati, OH) in Oct 2015
Interview
The process itself was pretty fast. I got an email to schedule a phone interview and the interviewer and I seemed to gel really well. She sent me the assessment and I completed it as soon as I got it. This was a Friday. On Tuesday, I got a call to schedule an in-person interview and I assumed that all was well and my assessment was fine. On Wednesday, at 4:45PM, I get an email saying my results came back and they wouldn't be moving forward. No word on a reason why but they quickly canceled my in-person interview. Very un-professional to schedule an interview for a candidate and then cancel based on an assessment. They should have waited until the results came back and made a decision at that time for an in-person interview. I won't be pursuing anything further at NW Mutual and unless you want this level of un-professionalism, I suggest you do the same.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Saint Louis, MO)
Interview
I was reached out to via LinkedIn. Directors asked me to meet for lunch somewhere a few times. I ended up just going in to the office for the interview. About 5 interviews later and 10 hours of homework I ended up letting them know I was not going to do any more homework and they can either offer me the position or move on.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual

All the interviews took place via Zoom. I had two group interviews with different people on the leadership team and they each asked a round of questions. Some were business related some were about you as a person.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2020
Interview
Very friendly and engaging. I felt like I was talking to an actual human behind the phone vs a stuffy corporate official. I felt at home. Informative and thorough, and I very much felt prepared for the job through the interview process.
