I applied through other source. I interviewed at New York Life (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2017
Interview
Four step process. I completed the first step and have to schedule the second. The second is where they explain how the company actually works so you can try and decide if the job is a good fit for you during the third step of the interview process.

Question 1
Why did you not start your own business before trying to get into the financial industry. I think they are wondering how you became interestedly getting into the business side of life. It is not a make or break question in the first interview. The first interview just seemed to be more of a friendly encounter. The second meeting is with your recruiter and manager from what I understand.
I applied online. I interviewed at New York Life (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
Received interview request within a few days of submitting resume. They sent a Candidate Assessment link which primarily focuses on your personal network which is now understandable as this position is 100% commission based.

Question 1
Very little questions about me. More selling me on the company.
After you apply there is a phone interview and then scheduled an on site interview. It was pretty easy going and the usual interview questions. Be dressed in business casual and be confident.
Pretty standard interview process. Video call ask you questions gives PowerPoint on the job and company. Manager asked me to reschedule and never replied to my message or follow up when I gave him times to reschedule.
