I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Neara
Interview
Basically got a vibe for the product which seems interesting, it was mostly an initial chat type of interview. A lot of the questions were fine, but I didn’t really feel like there many opportunities to provide the interviewer insight in to what I would bring to the role, or why I was interviewing there.
I only really meet Tony head of Eng (seems like a nice guy), no one else, so very little in the way of a signal to gauge what people are the company were like. I did appreciate they outlined that it was a trust first environment where they default to providing autonomy until given a reason not too.
When I did receive follow up, it was very nondescript and when I asked for feedback, it was not given. However I reached out to the recruiter and they got back to me, and explained the decision. Made sense, seemed fair (just needed more backend experience due to the stage of the project).
Overall interesting product, cannot makes heads or tails of anything else. Of the people I did meet they seemed nice however it was a very small sample set
