      Global Mobility Coordinator Interview

      1 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in May 2022

      Interview

I applied online back in March 2022. I received an email by a recruiter for a phone screen. She had to reschedule twice and when I spoke to her, the call last maybe 4 min, she wasn’t interested in knowing anything about my career path. She told that I will be hearing from her two days later to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I followed up three days later when I didn’t hear back from her by email and phone and then to my surprise she had an automatic reply that she was out with no information to who to reach out to while she is away. I tried following up a week later and still the same automatic reply. About a month went by and then I’m contacted by another recruiter who apologized for not hearing back from her colleague and she told me my resume never made to the hiring manager. I decided to give them another chance. I Emailed her my resume again and scheduled another phone call and this time it lasted 30 min and she assured me she will keep me posted about my application. A day later, the second recruiter contacted me to schedule a time for a virtual meeting with two team members that work in the UK office. I was very accommodating and took time off from my schedule to meet them at 7:30 am EST zone. From what I could tell, the meeting went well and at the end like every candidate I wanted to know the time line and they assured me that I will hear back the end of that week. Well, that was a lie. I followed up with the recruiter and asked her for their email to send a thank you note, she replied couple of days later that she transmitted the message and she will keep me posted. A week went by, I followed up and she told that they are still interviewing and haven’t made a decision. I followed up again after two weeks, no reply. Then lastly I sent her an email asking for any feedback and if they went a head with another candidate. She did reply saying that I wasn’t selected and that she can’t find me a position in the whole company. Fair enough but you don’t have to lead the candidate on for about two months to make a decision. That’s very unfair and unfortunate as I am no longer interested in pursuing anymore positions with NBC. The whole process seem very disorganized. I think they already offered someone the position while I was interviewing and they waited for them to accept it while I was kept in the dark just in case their star candidate withdraws.
