      Graphic Designer Interview

      6 Jan 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mobidictum

      Interview

I experienced upsetting and tiring HR experience and I will use gender neutral pronouns since there is a small group of employees who work there. I have experienced countless postponed interviews, rescheduling but never experienced anything like this. First, HR contacted me on Linkedin, asked If I was interested with graphic designer position then they offered an interview. HR scheduled an interview on Sunday 4 pm. 1 hour before the interview, they messaged me that they had just realized that interview the date was on Sunday. Since the scheduled date to meet on Sunday was the middle of the day, I arranged my whole day to them. I think an HR should at least look at which day the given date is. Especially when working remotely, time management is very important in this respect and it is a shame for a workplace not to implement it. Furthermore, there was absolutely no apologizing or respectful manner on message. The manner was unprofessional and "oh well"-like. They even kept messaging my name in lower case. I usually don't mind these things but they have never used capital letter not even once. Since I have never seen a HR who keep ignoring spelling rules this bad everytime, I was suprised. At this point it was funny and it started bug me. They asked another date in weekday. I ignored all those things and stayed cooperative. I told them that, I was fine with every day of the weekday but only if it's after 6 PM, because I'm working in another company already. They scheduled a meeting on Friday 8 PM. I would like to mind you that I was still in positive and polite manner as possible. On Friday, I was waiting in the room in the google-link sent to me. I received another googlemeet link 10 minutes that the time was postponed to 30 min late without any explanation. There was no written explanation until about another 10 minutes, I messaged them that, Since there was a change in the last 10 minutes, I will not be able to attend, because I have plans with my family. They sent me a half-recorded voice message on LinkedIn.They said that you were at a very important company-wide year-end meeting, they are busy and that they could've only sent voice memo during the meeting they are not able to message me. They asked if we could meet tomorrow. (December 31st, which is new year's day) I returned by stating that I could no longer revise the days, and that we could hold the meeting on Monday, if it's possible. I didn't even get an answer to that. At first I even thought it might be a stress interview. Because in both communications, I could not see the slightest embarrassment and an apologetic approach. There may be setbacks in business life, but this unprofessional attitude made me feel really bad. I don't even wanna talk about CEO's brush off "oh we are busy and and effected you, keep following us" behavior. Long story short, this company made me check calendar many times if it's April 1st since they can't check even calendars.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1- My bad, we are busy, couldn't check calendar, there's been confusion, can we reschedule later? 2- Pardon me for sending you a voice message, we are very busy with super important year-end meeting, there is no time for me to message you, can we reschedule again, what do you say?
