I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta
Interview
Interesting process. They start you off with a recruiter and then you have two back to back interviews with different focuses. The first is an app review and the second a case study review. They don’t have you applying for a specific team or position. It’s more of a pre-filtering to see if you’d be a fit at Facebook and then they identify a team later in the process.

Question 1
What is a commonly used app on your phone? Then you identify one that you and the interviewer both have to do a feedback walkthrough.
Pretty straightforward, lots of hypothetical case scenarios and breakdowns you would expect to find in an interview for a senior-level position. Be sure to review the technical description for the specific role you apply for.

Question 1
Describe a time when someone on your team made a mistake and how did you resolve the issue?
Quite patronising tone throughout. Interviewers seemed more interested in worshiping the company than assessing candidates. Lacked genuine curiosity or respect. Left feeling undervalued and unimpressed by Meta’s process and culture.

Question 1
Just to walk through my portfolio without any clear indication of what they were looking for
I was interviewed by HR about three weeks after application and withdrew from process then. It was a 30-45 minute call with a recruiter to discuss my experience, why I wanted to work at Meta, and basic questions about my design process and portfolio.
