I was asked to come in for an interview and talked with the principal and four other teachers. They asked me a surprisingly few number of questions (about four) compared to what I experienced in other panel interviews. This might have been because it was at the end of the summer and they were tired and uninterested in coming in. I had to try to pack in information in each of my responses once I got the hint they wanted this to be quick, but I still feel like I could have said more. I really liked the school's approach to learning, and tried to demonstrate my experience of this in the interview. I asked a lot of questions about them, which they seemed to like since it showed my interest. Unfortunately, I had a feeling after leaving that I was only interviewed as perhaps a favor to the connection I had to the schools. There seemed to be a disinterest in what I was saying and showing (which was indicated to me by the phone use being done by one of the members during the interview). But I'm glad to have had the interview experience and opportunity to come in.
