I applied through university. I interviewed at McDermott Will & Schulte (Chicago, IL)
Interview
The screener was pretty friendly. They seemed to want to get to know me as a person instead of delving too deeply into technical or firm-specific questions. Not sure how the callback stage is, but the screener during OCI felt pretty chilled.

Interview
Discuss resume, why law, why this office. Very conversational tone, trying to get to know you. Two rounds—first round and a callback. Each round will have multiple interviewers. All of mine were very friendly and were genuinely trying to get to know me as a person.
Very behavioral/fit focused. They really care if you do the research into the firm and the culture and have things to say about the firm. Having good questions is always a good idea.
