Painfully long process comprised of more than three rounds of interviews spanning over three to four months. Made it to the last round, was invited to their corporate office, where they complimented me on how my background and previous interviews made me a good fit. They even showed me the desk of where I would "very well be working soon." Was invited to lunch where their language and hospitality made it seem all but certain I would be offered the job. Two days later I get a notification on Indeed notifying me that job application is back up on their site. The next day I get a call from the HR rep, not anybody who had interviewed me over the three plus previous interviews, telling me that they decided not to go with me or anyone else they interviewed for the position. I'm not necessarily upset over the fact that they didn't choose me, I'm upset with the fact that I was led to believe that I was going to get the job only for them to pull the rug under my feet in a pretty unprofessional manner. Also, I know for a fact they had over 100 people apply for this job, chopped it down to 3-4 people, and they still couldn't find the right person? Who in the hell are they looking for? A Nobel Laureate?
