The resume-submission & phone interview process stretched out (which is pretty normal these days) for a month, then the in-person interview was a bit overbearing. I could handle it, but did they really need to have 4 guys sitting across from me for well over an hour? There was a stressed-out, intense vibe. It might scare away some solid hires, since it didn't seem like most of the job would involve being grilled by a group very often. I didn't notice much diversity in the office, either. I was still interested, however, and felt it would be an interesting role where I could contribute and grow a lot. They didn't reply back for over a week. In the end, I just got a generic "thank you but we went with another candidate" email. I was disappointed, but eventually I found something else that I like. I hope they are happy with whoever they did hire, because despite the tense demeanor, they all seemed like nice people doing good work.
