I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Kinsta (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
I recently completed Kinsta's interview process and had a very positive experience overall. While the process was challenging, it was also well-structured, professional, and gave me a clear understanding of the role and expectations.
The interview process consisted of three rounds:
An initial screening call with Talent Acquisition.
A one-on-one Google Meet interview with the Head of Sales Development.
A final panel interview that included two mock-call roleplay scenarios.
What stood out to me was that I have no prior sales experience, yet I still felt the interviewers were genuinely interested in evaluating my potential, coachability, and communication skills rather than simply looking for previous sales success.
The final round was definitely the most challenging. The mock-call exercises required me to think on my feet, but the interviewers provided feedback throughout the process and were looking to see how well candidates could apply that feedback in real time. I appreciated that the focus wasn't on being perfect from the start, but on demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
Overall, I found the interview team to be professional, respectful, and engaged. The process was challenging but fair, and I left with a positive impression of the company and its hiring approach.

Interview
Interviewing took place over the course of a month. Initial call with recruiter was followed with a refreshingly human technical interview followed by additional interviews with senior staff.
Everyone I spoke with reaffirmed my hunch that Kinsta would be a great place to work.

Interview
Interview with CTO and head of engineering. Consisted of mostly a conversational interview with abstract questions about software engineering and general workplace questions. Seems like they were looking for ability to communicate over years of raw experience.
