I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jumbo in Nov 2022
Interview
I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. I found the entire process to be unprofessional, disorganized, and lacking in transparency. First and foremost, I was disappointed that my technical skills were deemed insufficient without a single technical question being asked during the interview. As someone who has invested significant time and effort into developing my expertise in this field, I was shocked and disheartened to be judged solely on superficial criteria. Furthermore, I found the HR questions I was asked to be old-fashioned and unproductive. Rather than focusing on my qualifications and potential contributions to the company, I was asked to provide a list of my strengths and weaknesses. These types of questions do not provide any meaningful insight into my capabilities or suitability for the role. To make matters worse, despite the recruiter's initial enthusiasm and persistent follow-up during the application process, I was left completely in the dark following the interview. I received no feedback, no indication of next steps, and no follow-up communication whatsoever. This lack of communication was disrespectful and unprofessional, and it left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. Overall, I would not recommend Jumbo as a potential employer. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and respect for candidates' time and effort is simply unacceptable. I would urge other job seekers to carefully consider their options before applying to or accepting a position with this company.
