I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JCPenney (Dothan, AL) in Nov 2015
Interview
Interview started off with all applicants doing a group project. You were each given a paper with two potential store additions. You had to choose which option would be best for the company and why. Then you had to share your idea with everyone. After, you had to come together as a team to decide which persons idea was best. Then you were taken back one by one for individual review. You were asked about yourself, previous work history, and then describe situations where you solved problems yourself.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a scenario when no manager was around and you had to solve a scenario on your own
It was overall an easy interview. In a group setting of interviewees, we were asked to each talk about what we thought good customer service was. Then, we had some blocks to build a structure, a house I remember. Without the person you were instructing being able to see the blueprint, you had to describe what to do with the blocks without touching the blocks. I didn't know how I did, but I got hired. This was the holidays of 2017. :)
