Interview
My first round interview was with a lab member, and then the second round interview was with the lab member and the PI - both via video call. Then awaited interview results.

Interview
Applied through their website then had an interview with 3 people. Questions were moderately hard, wanted to know a lot about my background and how I would fit in. Next was asked to present a seminar. There were a couple more interviews after the seminar including with some very senior people. These interviews were extremely hard as they asked various hypothetical science scenarios and I had to come up with an answer on the spot. I also felt they had a big ego and made it a point to keep mentioning how JCVI is a prestigious place to work (it's really not). They kept telling me how there's potential to rise up the ranks however, years later at the job (post-doc) and there no sign of moving up (you can read my review too). The interview process here is like no other, seems like they make it as hard as can be unless you know people there.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do I want to work at JCVI? Why do I want a post-doc fellow position despite having years of experience as a post-doc ?

Interview
Gave a seminar, treated to lunch by hiring manager and other team member, followed by individual interviews with others on the team. Everyone was friendly, although there seemed to be a bit of a rift between the employees and HR/administrators. Was more difficult for me to get my guest badge than it should have been.
