It is a common practice to use LinkedIn, and other social networking groups or associations to recruit for open positions. In these cases, it is likely to request an informal meeting over coffee to qualify the interest or availability of a potential candidate. Assuming there is mutual interest, meetings with other members of the team will follow. Information on compensation, benefits, and incentive plans (if applicable) are provided if there is interest in a position and candidate. The hiring time frame may vary depending on how easy it is to schedule follow-up meetings and calls. This process can also be dependent on a candidate’s availability to start work.
