And after I said yes, HR said that they were not capable of sponsoring. If he stopped then I would totally understand the situation and just move on. But he just had to add a comment and tried to teach me how to do things by "suggesting" me adding "need sponsorship" to my resume.
Excuse me? How about you be more professional and add this info to your JD or before scheduling the interview? Not professional at all and also very rude and discriminating. I never see people add this kind of information on the resume or even being asked to. Clearly he did not know what he was supposed to do as a HR.
