Interview
No need to focus on the Excel and numerous test.. I was invited for their first round interview, there were two business analysts interviewing at the same time, I was nervous about the interview and appeared to be a weak candidate, they had gone through my CV and I felt they had lost interest on me, then it was followed by a excel test which has a few multiple choices and excel analysis which I am very confident and finished within the 30 minutes time frame. But I was told it doesn't have to be finished and a lot of candidates wouldn't finished on time. The excel test was quite tough one but because I am very good at IT analysing and mathematics so I do feel I am very strong in this section, I was hoping they would give me one more chance just put me through the second round which has other interviews and a case study, so I can proof myself.. But I got declined so I was wondering what is the point of the excel test. So my suggestion for candidates is just focus on interviews and selling yourself, even if you have shown the real ability to do work and excel they won't even consider you. So focus on the interview part.

Interview
1. Online Application
Basically submitting your CV
2. Skype Interview
Interview with 2 members of senior staff. Standard interview questions re why you are interested in them and what interests you about financial technology. Couple of competency based questions about leading a team.
3. 'Super Day' Assessment Centre
Four interviews. One case study presentation. Interviews all vary slightly but they are mainly looking to chat with you and get an idea what you're like as a person. Two interviewers had set questions to ask with were competency based while the others were with HR and a very senior member of staff. Everybody was quite relaxed and there are current graduates to guide you around and chat to about the company. The company books you into a hotel and runs a networking event the night before the assessment day. Case study was quite short. 45 mins prep and 15 min presentation. Don't be scared to use your own initiative to deduce some of the things which are not explicitly given in the brief.
