A complete waste of time. Zero feedback and poor candidate experience
Complete lack of transparency and professionalism at the end of the process. I received a generic rejection with absolutely no constructive feedback. When candidates dedicate their time and effort to show their skills, the bare minimum can do is provide a brief explanation of their decision. It shows a clear lack of respect for the candidate's time and a poor talent acquisition culture.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IFCO Systems (Munich, Bavaria) in Oct 2024
Interview
My recent interview experience with IFCO was quite underwhelming. The interview level was generally low, with a strong focus on their product and product-related questions, primarily around data and SQL. Surprisingly, there was very little emphasis on discussing the actual job offer, nor were there any questions about architecture, design patterns, or best practices—topics I would have expected for a more comprehensive engineering role.
Additionally, the company seemed to place minimal value on soft skills, which was disappointing, as these are essential for fostering collaborative and innovative teams. Flexibility also appears to be limited, with a strict expectation for office attendance.
Overall, this experience raised some doubts about IFCO's alignment with modern work practices, especially around flexibility, emphasis on best practices, and valuing a well-rounded skill set.
