First connected with HR about two possible roles and aligned on moving forward with one of them, when I met with the hiring manager there was confusion that only became apparent midway through as it wasn’t for the role I understood it to br
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hudson's Bay Company (Toronto, ON) in May 2022
Interview
I was referred by a friend to reach out directly to their HR recruiter in the role I was interested in. The HR recruiter helped me get started on the process.
The process involved a meeting with the HR lead, then a first round with the potential manager, and a final round with the DVP. Most of the questions involved experienced in the marketing technology, behaviour questions around cultural fit, and background.
I was told HR would follow-up within 1-2 weeks after the final round but still have no heard anything. The generally positive vibes of the interviews are gone now that they've basically ghosted me. Ghosting can turn an otherwise positive experience into a negative one. It is really disappointing given this is The Bay or Hudson's Bay instead of a two-bit startup or recruiting agency.

Question 1
Q: Tell me a difficult situation at work and how you dealt with it?
I applied online. I interviewed at Hudson's Bay Company (New York, NY)
Interview
I had a 30 min, rather positive meeting with the recruiter, asked for salary requirements and was happy with what I asked for. He wanted me to come back in and speak to VP and Director within a week. Showed me the beautiful office space and said they'd get in touch with possible meeting times. Never got back in touch, I tried contacting them and did not receive a reply.
