I recently interviewed for a Senior Software Engineer role at Hudl, and although I wasn’t selected after the final round, the overall experience was positive. Here's a breakdown of the process:
The first round was an introductory call with the recruiter, where we discussed my background, experience, and the role. The recruiter was friendly and transparent about the entire process.
The second round was a Codility assessment test, and involved a medium-level LeetCode problem focused on two pointers.
The third round was a high-level system design interview. If you’re familiar with key system design concepts and commonly asked questions, you’ll be well-prepared.The interviewers were interactive throughout, providing helpful feedback as I walked through my design choices.
The final round was split into two parts: the first hour focused on behavioural questions, and the second hour involved discussing my approach to the Codility test followed by more behavioural questions with the Hiring Manager.
Although I didn’t make it past the final round, I found the entire process to be smooth and insightful. The interviewers were transparent and approachable, which made for a comfortable experience. I appreciated the focus on both technical and communication skills, and I feel like I learned a lot through this process. I highly recommend reviewing the job description in detail and understanding Hudl's core values to better align your approach.
