Basic interview processes with the exception of amount of references asked for on applications. Very nice and positive individuals interview you. However, a true day-to-day account of the job is not given. Hobby Lobby is a very successful company, but can be cruel to its employees with the work load demand...make sure you question recruiters and HR individuals thoroughly before contemplating a job with this company. Hobby Lobby processes are completely task driven, time intensive, and physically taxing to say the least. Your job becomes your life, which means the family and personal life goes to the wayside.

Basic questions...are very interested in interaction with cohorts.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter. First step. Explains in detail the description of job and requirements as well as next steps and 10 questions. After you are asked for 6 references including 4 direct reports. This can be a bit hard if you are currently employed but dont want to involve your place of work just yet..so be prepared for this.

Question 1
If ever been let go or terminated from a job.
What is your strongest attribute..
Horrible. Very quick interview scheduled and professional interview but it’s unrealistic to expect 7-10 references that are professional only. Most companies don’t even allow employees to give references so to make that a minimum to move in in today’s world is ridiculous.
The recuiter met me at the door and showed me around the store explaining expectations right off th bat. He then took me to the office and asked me standard interview questions for a leadership position.
