I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HaulHub (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Interviewed at HaulHub in Jan 2020. Had a first call with the hiring manager, followed by taking a DISC assessment online to determine my work style/communication fit, followed by an interview with an Operations team member. Everything seemed to be going well until sudden and complete radio silence after that third step. I didn’t hear anything for weeks and weeks, when suddenly I got a message grim the hiring manager asking me if I was still available to interview. Sent a reply saying yes, but then again heard absolutely nothing after that despite multiple follow ups. I understand small companies have a lot on their plate, but for any candidate having gone through 3 steps in an interview process, then to suddenly get a last minute request for an interview only to not get a response after replying “yes” is a frustrating experience. It was extremely unprofessional, all it takes to do even a little bit of the right thing is a one sentence email saying they’ve moved forward with another candidate. Overall the opportunity seemed good, I think tech in construction will only grow and they were well placed with their leadership coming from the industry, but the lack of professionalism and consideration in the hiring process should be a red flag for anyone interested in a role at HaulHub.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Take a DISC personality test online as step 2 of the hiring process.
Ghosted after the initial call and no response after follow-ups. The recruiter was late for the call. Seems like the 3.7 avg aligns with experience as with higher-rated companies I have had much better interview experiences.
