I applied online. I interviewed at Foster + Partners (London, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
2 rounds of interview in-person. First was with the hiring manager and a peer. Second was with hiring manager and head of team, while the founder was a few steps away. Team was friendly enough, interview was more conversational which I enjoyed because I felt able to show my best self, although very strange to be conducted to the side of the main work area with everyone able to see and hear you. Eerily quiet for a large and swanky building with hundreds of people.
At the final interview I was told it was between myself and 2 other people. Was told I’d hear back in a few days and never did. Followed up with HR (my only point of contact) multiple times with no response. Being ghosted after a final interview by such an established firm was crazy to me.
Even followed up with the hiring manager 1.5 years later whom I found on LinkedIn to see what went wrong and see if I could take any learnings for my next job search, ignored again.
Really disappointing for what otherwise felt like a well-organised interview process and a decent place to work.
