I told of a situation where a physician had used only a small fraction of his EHR when it was initially implementing several years before. When he fould out that he was going to be 'penalized' by Medicare for not participating in Meaningful Use, we needed to re-evaluate his EHR usage and add functionality for him so that he could successfully attest and we needed to complete the re-evaluation, template design and implementation, and electronic prescribing so he could attest in 3 months.
