Excellus BlueCross BlueShield interview questions

It was two rounds of interviews. First a phone call with the manager then a more formal interview with the manager and two other employees. It was around 45 minutes.

I had a first-round interview scheduled for 30 minutes, but it lasted only 10. Early in the conversation, the recruiter informed me that the company was seeking someone to work onsite—despite the role being advertised as remote. When asked for my salary expectations, I referenced the midpoint of the posted range, only to be told they were targeting a number $25K below that range. This misalignment between the job posting and the actual role requirements felt misleading and resulted in a wasted opportunity for both sides. Transparency in job listings is critical to respecting applicants’ time and fostering trust. I hope future postings more accurately reflect role expectations
