I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Esperanza (Phila, PA) in Nov 2019
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter shortly after my application. I didn't hear back after I stated I was still interested in this position because it was something I was looking to do, especially in a faith-based school that matched my exact faith! I was ecstatic and waited for information about an interview email, but 10 days later I heard nothing back so I reached out to the recruiter again. She did get back to me afterward and we set an interview date and time. The day of the interview, I was myself and excited because this was something I really wanted. I took notes during the interview, answered all the questions honestly without having to think, and just took it easy to calm my nerves. Overall the interview went very well. I was told by the recruiter, who joined in the interview just to observe, that they still had other interviewers after me and I would hear back the following week if I was selected. I wait day by day hoping I was selected because I really liked this school and their culture... Almost one week exactly goes by and I get a general email that titled “Your application” (without the title of the position) and that they moved on to another candidate (without explaining why I was rejected). I was heartbroken because I truly wanted to join while waiting day after day for good news. I may try again for something else if there is something similar available, but this dashed my hopes…
